Jay Paranada is a Seattle born, NYC based musical theatre performer. He’s thrilled to work alongside such incredible artists at MTF, with credits that include Rent A White Guy, Hart Island and Our Woman, Frank Thompson.
In NYC, he’s been seen as Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls (Genesis Repertory), Martin Van Buren in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson (Piper Theatre), Bun Foo in Thoroughly Modern Millie (The Gallery Players), Merrily We Roll Along (Astoria Performing Arts Center), Fleet Foot in Little Mary Sunshine (Musicals Tonight!) and with Prospect Theatre, BMI, NYMF, MITF, NY Fringe, NYU Tisch Grad Writing, The Araca Project and several concerts at Lincoln Center. Regional appearances include Engineer in Miss Saigon, Baker in Into The Woods, Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling and Sammy Fong in Flower Drum Song.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Pacific Lutheran University, and also attended the University of York in England. He’s conservatory trained at American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC). He has been a proud member of Actors Equity Association since 2012.
