Mary Jo McConnell
Mary Jo McConnell is a native New Yorker and passionate performing artist who has been fortunate enough to act and sing professionally for the past 32 years. Highlights include the National Tours of The Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), All Shook Up, and Sister Act. She originated the role of Soap Star in the off-Broadway production of Menopause, the Musical and appeared in the original San Francisco productions of Forbidden Broadway, Nunsense, and Sunday in the Park with George. Television appearances on Pan Am, Masters of Sex, and One Life to Live reveal her casting niche: “nuns and nurses”. MJ has an MFA in acting from American Conservatory Theater. Her longest running engagement to date is three years in the US Army Nurse Corps in the role of Captain.
