Travis Greisler

Travis Greisler is a New York City based director and teacher who began his career as a professional actor at the age of nine appearing on Broadway in The Who’s Tommy, Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular and the National Tours of Les Miz and Big. He recently created and directed The Orion Experience, an immersive rock concert that played Dixon Place and XL Nightclub. He has assisted Jason Moore (“Pitch Perfect”, Ave Q, Shrek) on Tales of the City, the new musical written by the teams behind Avenue Q and the pop band the Scissor Sisters at the American Conservatory Theatre where he also directed for their acclaimed MFA program. Travis also served as the associate director/musical stager on Yeast Nation, by the writing team behind Urinetown in the NY Fringe Festival. Other favorite directing credits include Rated RSO (NYMF, The Public and Joe’s Pub), Hey, You Know What Movie Would Make A Good Musical? (Julia Miles Theatre – with Austin Regan), Into the Woods (Northwestern’s Best Production/Director of the Year 2007), Company and Lippa’s The Wild Party (Fordham U’s Mimes and Mummers), John and Jen, Pasek and Paul’s Edges, multiple productions at Stagedoor Manor and assisting such directors as Michael Greif, Mark Hoebee and David H.
