MTFxR: Bringing Theatre to Augmented & Virtual Reality w/ Tara Ahmadinejad
December 11, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pmFree
Theatre artists have a valuable role to play in the growing genre of interactive extended reality (XR) narratives. While this may seem like a scary leap for some, it doesn’t have to be! The key is learning how to translate your skills. Join Piehole’s Tara Ahmadinejad for this workshop exploring tools to achieve liveness in XR projects by unpacking her experience as a theatre maker and collaborating with XR Studio, Tender Claws, on the award-winning VR experience “The Under Presents.” Through exploration of Piehole’s work, participants will learn how an experimental theatre practice can be applied to an XR process. Whether you’re a theatre maker seeking knowledge about a new field or developer looking to learn more about creating narratives, this workshop is for you.
